Students interested in securing an admission to this institution should be above 21 years of age and have a good command over English and Mathematics. They will then be given two years and a maximum of four consecutive attempts to pass specific papers in the course. The student can enrol directly after class XII, and complete the whole course in just two or three years. There are two intake sessions every year. For the December session your applications should reach by 31 July, and for the June session applications should be submitted by 31 January.
ACCA course comprises three parts. Students enrolling after class XII can start with part I, and this course can be completed in a span of 2-3 years. Students are required to pass 14 papers. Examinations are held twice a year, in June and December. Graduates from the commerce stream will be exempted from appearing Part I. They can start from Part II, and have to appear for 11 papers. It is comparatively easier to get this degree than the Indian equivalent, besides, it has global acceptance too.
ACCA also has a tie-up with Oxford Brookes University in which students can complete a B.Sc. degree in Applied Accounting while appearing for the ACCA examinations and for an MBA degree in Applied Accounting after the successful completion of their course by appearing for one additional paper.
Completion of ACCA qualification can equip students with an in-depth knowledge of not only accounting techniques as per the international accounting standards, but also management skills and IT. This will enable them to work in any area of finance and bring many senior management roles within their reach as well. After successful completion of ACCA, many students settle down in Europe, the Middle East and the Far East.
